Direct Lobby Signs | PVC Logo Sign

From the Motor City to the Valley of the Sun, 360 Signs can accommodate any of your lobby sign needs. Recently we completed a job for Alpine Power Systems in Redford, MI. They were looking for dimensional wall lettering for their training center and a lobby sign for their main hallway. They were on a tight schedule and needed something that could be designed, fabricated, delivered and easily installed in a short time period.

Alpine’s logo consists of a large globe with lettering across it.  To replicate their logo we used a routered piece of 6mm pvc.  The pvc gives the sign a rigid structure, but does not add a lot of weight.  We also printed the globe graphic itself.  This allowed us to match their logo and gave the sign better resolution than if we did a direct print.  To get the dimension our client wanted for the “A” and “U” we went with a 1” thick Gatorfoam with an acrylic laminated face.  For the Alpine University portion of the sign we went with a more subtle ¼” cut acrylic.  This gave the sign some dimension without being overwhelming.

For Alpine’s lobby sign we used a ½” thick piece of frosted acrylic for their panel. We printed their logo and laid ¼” cut acrylic lettering over it to give it a layered dimensional look.  The sign was then mounted to the wall using 1-¼” thick brushed aluminum stand-offs.

Our client was able to install the signs themselves following our installation process which included printing patterns for all the signs.  This created an easy template for the client to attach the letters to.

To meet our client’s needs we were able to turn both signs around from start to finish in two weeks.  If you are looking for a custom lobby sign with a unique touch, you can get one directly from 360 Signs.
