Mall Signs Attract Impulse Buyers


Signs are an effective marketing technique to attract target consumers. Billions of dollars are spent annually in the retail sector, which makes it imperative for all businesses to attract consumer’s with the use of signage.

 Retail signs at multi-tenant locations result in increased profit for businesses. A study conducted by the University of San Diego showed that the addition of one sign on the premises increased the sales of that business by 4.75%. In other words, signs attract impulse buyers more effectively than other types of advertisements. Also, attractive signs stay in the minds of customers for a longer time, thereby helping the business to gain brand image.

Retail chain signs are considered to be cost-efficient and result-oriented. A survey conducted by Burger King several years ago showed that one-third of its customers are impulse buyers who see the sign and walk in. This study shows the importance of having the right retail chain signs to attract customers who are new to the area or for those who are simply “passing by.”

Signage is a big investment for retail chains.  Successful chain know that sign pay-off and deliver better results for the company. For many reasons, signage is considered to be one of the best and the most effective forms of advertisements, especially to attract casual mall shoppers.
